River Oaks runs on a steady rhythm, Sunday morning at the River Oaks Theatre, brunch on Westheimer, an iced coffee somewhere with valet. Private events in River Oaks
For private events, River Oaks is one of the easier neighborhoods to host in. We'll bring the puppies, mats, and instructor to a home, garden, or rented space, birthdays, bachelorettes, baby showers, milestone birthdays, school fundraisers. Past private bookings have run from 8-guest birthday brunches to 30-person corporate wellness afternoons. Public sessions stay capped at 20 guests because larger classes lose the intimacy. Smaller is better.

Beginner-friendly flow
Gentle vinyasa, no pressure to hold anything advanced. Half the class is on the floor playing with puppies anyway.

Can you host a private event at our home or club?
Yes. We've done backyard sessions, indoor sessions in great rooms, and pool-area events. Quote depends on guest count, distance, and whether we provide photography. Email hello@pawtyyoga.com with the date, location, and group size.
Is this appropriate for a milestone birthday or bridal shower?
Genuinely yes, those are some of our favorite bookings. The format works because everyone, regardless of yoga background, can do it, and the puppies make for the best group photos you'll have for years.
What's the dress code?
Whatever you'd wear to a normal yoga class. Athleisure, leggings, soft tees. Skip the new white pants, puppies are puppies.
Are the puppies adoptable?
Not in the rescue sense, no. Our puppies come from ethical breeders we partner with, not a shelter, so we do not sell or place puppies ourselves. But if a breeder still has puppies available and you fall for one during class, you are welcome to ask them directly about price and availability. The breeder handles every sale and screens buyers carefully. At the session, our job is simply to socialize the puppies and give them a fun, low-stress morning.
