Puppy Yoga for Katy & Sugar Land — we'll come to you
Honesty first: a 30-minute drive each way is a lot to ask for a public class. So for Katy, Cinco Ranch, Cross Creek, Sugar Land, Riverstone, and Fulshear we focus on private events — we bring the puppies, mats, and instructor straight to your home, neighborhood clubhouse, or rented venue. (And if you're up for the drive, the August public sessions in Memorial are still open to anyone.)
Why private events make more sense out west
Most Pawty Yoga guests inside the Loop drive 5–15 minutes to our Memorial studio. For Katy and Sugar Land households, that math shifts — Cinco Ranch to Memorial Drive is about 35 minutes in light traffic, Riverstone closer to 40. Asking a 20-person session to converge from that far away on a Saturday morning isn't realistic. So instead, we flip it: we drive to you.
Private events are the same Pawty Yoga formula — a 75-minute beginner-friendly flow with vetted puppies (8–16 weeks old, from our ethical breeder partners) wandering the room, candid photos to keep, and a low-pressure social atmosphere — just hosted at your venue. We've quoted backyards in Cross Creek Ranch, neighborhood clubhouses in Telfair, and recreation centers in Cinco Ranch. The format works in any space with enough flat floor for 10–25 yoga mats.

What a private event looks like
We travel to you
Mats, puppies, and instructor — full kit delivered to your venue. Phones and cameras welcome throughout. Travel fee scales with distance.
Backyard, clubhouse, or rented space
Anywhere with a flat floor or covered patio for 10–25 mats works. We've done all three.
Birthdays, bridal, school events
Most-requested formats. Kid birthdays (7+), milestone birthdays, bridal showers, PTA fundraisers, and team outings.
Photography included
A pro shooter captures candid moments throughout — the photos are the souvenir guests remember.

What's the typical cost of a private event?
Pricing is quoted by group size (minimum 8 guests), event location, distance from Memorial, and whether you want photography included. We aim to send a quote within one business day of your inquiry. Email hello@pawtyyoga.com with the date, headcount, and venue.
What kind of venue do I need?
Anywhere with enough flat floor for 10–25 yoga mats and a way to keep puppies safely contained (a fenced yard, an enclosed patio, or a room with closing doors all work). Carpet, hardwood, polished concrete, or covered outdoor patios are all fine. We bring everything else.
Can you do a kid's birthday party in Cinco Ranch / Sugar Land?
Yes — kid birthdays are one of our most-requested formats. Best for kids 7+. We can host at your home, a neighborhood pavilion, or a rented event space. Most clients book a 90-minute window so kids have time for class, photos, and cake.
Are the puppies safe and screened?
Yes — every puppy is 8–16 weeks old, screened, and current on age-appropriate vaccinations through our ethical breeder partners. We don't bring puppies that aren't comfortable in social settings. We also bring a release form for guests to sign and can share a sample with you ahead of the event.
Will there ever be a public Pawty Yoga date in Katy?
We're not opposed — if a Katy venue partner is interested in hosting, we'd run dates out there. If you know one, drop us a line. Otherwise, the public dates stay in Memorial for now and the western suburbs get the come-to-you format.
Making the drive from Katy or Sugar Land worth it
The drive from Katy or Sugar Land to our Memorial-area studio is 25–35 minutes — real, but doable. Here's how to make the trip feel like a full Houston outing rather than just a commute.
Practical tip: For private bookings 20+ miles from the studio, we add a modest travel fee but no minimum group size beyond our standard 8-person floor.

Cinco Ranch is one of the largest master-planned communities in the United States — sprawling across Katy with thousands of homes, multiple HOA zones, and an event calendar that runs year-round. Puppy yoga is a particularly strong fit for Cinco Ranch milestone birthdays, Mother's Day brunches, bridal showers, and multi-family celebrations.
- Master-planned scale: 8,000+ homes across multiple villages, each with its own amenity centers and parks. Easy to coordinate group events.
- Family-event ready: Many Cinco Ranch homes have the open layouts that private puppy yoga events thrive in — kitchen-adjacent great rooms, backyard pavilions, covered patios.
- Distance from studio: About 22 minutes from Cinco Ranch to our Memorial-area studio for public sessions, or we travel to you for private events (anywhere in our 60-mile radius).
